Not every day we have the opportunity to shoot the wedding of a wedding photographer, but in the case of Shay & Tzlil’s wedding we had that privilege.
The groom, Shay Ashkenazi, is himself a talented wedding photographer, and his studio is located on the main street in Nes Ziona – where the bride choose to start her day and get ready for the wedding. For us, they could not have chosen better, the space was full of surprises, lots of natural light and many good and happy people – just a recipe for encouraging creativity.
There is no doubt that Tzlil’s selections were tasteful and full of exquisite style, delicate combination of makeup and natural hairstyle was perfect. Her two-parts dress gave a very good emphasis to a tattoo on her back and made sure to keep it visible. Shay himself showed up with superb style, in a wedding suit in shades of blue, brown shoes and belt and to complete the look – a bow tie.
The meeting between the bride and groom is one of the most exciting moments of the wedding day, at the wedding of Shay and Tzlil we chose to make the first look in the studio as they stand and separated by a wall.
For the couple shots, Shay and a Tzlil choose to connect with their daily lives –in a bar called “Binchi” right near Shay’s studio and owned by a close friend. We were treated as VIP’s from the moment we got in the door, the arak was streaming and Greek music played in the background. We continued the photography in additional location in a plantation at ‘Beit Hanan’. It was the place Shay & Tzlil chose for their engagement session two weeks before and it was a closure for us. Amazing light of the late afternoon hours and the connection between it and the great love between the couple created magical pictures.
The wedding took place at a venue called ‘Haela’ at Beit oved junction. The place is brimming excellent design and beautiful yard where the reception was held. Longest canopy walkway in there, gave new meaning to the couple march to the Hupa and raised the excitement to new peaks. friends and family accompany Shay & Tzlil for the ceremony that will make them a married couple.
The great atmosphere that was at the Hupa, very naturally continued to the dance floor and not stopped until the small hours of the night.
